While CRS does not have an office in Chile, where a 8.8-magnitude earthquake hit early Saturday morning, we, along with the Catholic humanitarian network, stand poised to help if needed. CRS staff in Bolivia, our South American hub, are closely watching the situation in Chile, which includes tsunami warnings for other countries in South America, as well as in the Asia Pacific.

Will CRS be taking donations specific to Chili relief?
    Thanks,

    Hello,
I am a US citizen living in Chile, but I happened to be home visiting family when the quake struck. I will be home for several more days and wanted to encourage my parish to give monetary assistance towards relief work in Chile.

I was hoping that Catholic Relief Services would have some information about where to donate. It appears that there is nothing at this time and I wanted to inquire as to when or if there will be a relief operation in Chile.

    Thank you for your help,
    Rachyl Stupor

Will CRS collect donations for those who suffered from the earthquake in Chile? I hope so, and I know that CRS doesn’t have an office in Chile.

Are you taking donations for Chile? What if we would like to support efforts being done in Chile? Can we send donations to CRS specifically for Chile?
