If the world leaders cared about the people in Darfur and their suffering, the end of the conflict could be in sight. But they don’t seem to care. 

For a year now, the UN is asking for 24 helicopters so they can start protecting the refugees in Darfur. To this day, no country has promised (not even delivered, just promised) a helicopter. 

Helicopters are essential for any successful mission in any remote region, especially the one the size of France.

At the same time, the World Food Program is having trouble finding money to continue delivering food to more than 2 million refugees in Darfur. Monthly costs of food delivery are $6.2 million. 

It is an ugly world we live in and the actions of groups like yours are giving hope that we can make it better.
