Last night at the Peacemaking/JOSHUA Committee meeting of my Franciscan religious community, one of our members said that his son who owns a farm of several hundred acres in Wisconsin was quoted a market price of only $.23 for four bull calves. How can farmers succeed under such conditions? And if those in the USA experience such challenges, I can only imagine what farmers in other countries experience. Thanks to CRS for sharing the stories of its assistance to farmers across the globe.

I agree with paying the farmers much more for their hard work in farming. It most certainly is an important job, that affects us without them. God Bless the farmers!
